I am installing ridetech front coilovers on my 69 camaro. I can't figure out how to tighten the top nut on the shaft without the shaft spinning. I don't want try to clamp the shaft and risk dinging the shaft in turn having a leaky shock. It's a stock sub frame with ridetech single adjustable coilover. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

My coil overs had a flat at the top which i held with a wrench and snugged the nut with a seperate wrench.

If you haven't already, remove the black plastic rebound adjustment knob. Once the knob is out of the way, you'll see the top of the stud is a small hex which you can put a wrench on to hold the shaft while you tighten the nut.

Yelcomino I saw that and was wondering if it was strong enough. I will give it a try. Thanks!!!

Do not over tighten...the swivel ball assembly must be able to have movement.
