Right now I'm running a carb and I have a pump feed line to the return reg, and a return line to the tank and a feed line to the carb coming out of the regulator. In theory, I should be able to do basically the same thing with the rails, correct? The regulator will only bypass fuel if there is enough pressure in the rail to overcome the spring.

Aesthetically it would look best with the regulator on the pass front end of the rail with a crossover in back and the driver front end plugged with no ugly crossover up front or feed in one end and return out the other. Is this likely to give me pressure issues with the #1,3,5,7 cylinders since the regulator is so far away?

I usually recommend a "Y" fitting into either front or rear of the rails with the opposing side having both rails tie back into the regulator with a single return. It ensures both rails see equal supply.

I agree with 64 deuce plus it keeps a constant circulation which keeps hot fuel from sitting in rails.

The tech dept. at FAST told me they run a 1000hp sbc without the Y. In one rail over to the other then to the reg. with no prob. So thats how i did mine only 500hp np prob.
