Hi All,
New guy here. Grew up in my fathers shop around cars. Worked on my bicycles when I was young, then motorcycles, then cars, so on. Joined the Army National Guard when I was 18, still in at 26. Went to school for auto mechanics, been working in the shop since 20, being groomed to take it over. Love learning, reading about any car topic. Currently fixing up an 85 C10 with air suspension and a turbo 6.0 engine from a 2000 2500HD.

Anyways, the main reason I joined the pro-touring site was to learn about suspensions. I would love recommendations on suspension books, theory more so that bolting in kits, but anything that I can get my hands on. Also, any websites that dive into designing suspensions would be great.

Please help me out! Thanks,

Mitch

Check out Mark Savitske's book, "How to Make Your Muscle Car Handle". Tons of info!

All of the ezboard pro-touring links are dead. Only external links remain active.

Thanks for the replies. I have overlooked that book before because, at a glance, it seemed to be about bolt on pieces. Now that I did the "look inside" on Amazon I see it does talk about theory as well. I'm looking more to understand how to design and build my own. I am a pretty fast learner and I have a machinist friend who works at a large shop with things like CNCs, plasma tables, and all sorts of other goodies.

I will search around through the old threads for now. Does anyone have any other book recommendations? Most of the suspension ones seem to be 10-20 years old, didn't know if they were still valuable references or outdated.
