I'm building a gen 1 camaro and would like some brake opinions. I have a jakes rod shop front subframe that uses c5/6 components and a moser 9" with a ride tech 4bar coilover setup. Currently I have corvette calipers fr/rear and a wilwood m/c. I Would like to here opinions on what aftermarket brake system you would use and why. Planning on running 18" wheels if that matters.

Is there any reason you don't want to use the Corvette calipers? I have a similar build going and I have c6 z51's I will be using. Should suit my needs fine. I like the idea of the price and availability of pads and rotors.

Bang for the buck the c5/c6 or c6z06 are hard to beat. Kore3 has great kits for your application.

If you want more stop power or track duty, StopTech, Alcon, and Brembo have great options for c6 vettes, you could combine that with a rear 9" adapter bracket from one of the c6 vette kits.

yeah wtf... z06 kit for 600$ new on ebay... head over to the corvette forum for super cheap c6 stock kits. Those are like 300$ new with rotors for the front. giving that stuff away.

How hard do you want to brake? Are you going auto crossing? Plan on just drag racing or doing some road coursing? I would think Z06 vs stock C6 vette brakes are you way to go.

Not aftermarket, but 1995 Explorer rear disc. Integral drum parking brake, mounts to big Torino housing end. Need to redrill for 5 x 4.75 from 5 x 4.5. Bought used on eBay, shipping was more than the kit
