I purchased a T56 for my 69. The tranny came from a 95 Trans am. It came with bellhousing, clutch and shifter.

How do I convert the clutch from the cable setup to the hydralic? and what else will I need.

Thanks for the help

Talk to the guys at ATS. They can set you up with everything you need.

What car do you have? I am not aware of any 69 GM vehicle that used a cable clutch.

If it came from a 95 Trans Am it would have been Hydraulic from the factory. If someone switched it, then couldn't you just buy the GM parts?

To switch to hydraulic setup on your car you will of course need the hydraulic setup for the tranny. Then you will need to fabricate some type of bracket that holds the hydraulic master cylinder. I made one to sandwich between the brake booster & the firewall. Then the master cylinder mounts to it. I then welded a portion from the factory T56 clutch pedal that the master cylinder apply rod mounts to.

Bracket looks like this: http://mysite.verizon.net/res722js/ug_brkt.jpg

And of course you will probably have to cut the floor for the shifter & fabricate the crossmember.

Also I think there is a company(s) that makes aftermarket hydraulic setups. So if the hose is not long enough you can have one made.
