I recently purchased a set of forged BBS LM rims for my 69 Chevelle and this is the first time I've purchased aftermarket wheels that I'd like to use at the track. Stock lugs won't work since they are way too short and also too wide, I've been looking at getting a new set of some longer/skinny lugs but I'm not sure if I need the M12x1.25, M12x1.50, or the standard 7/16? Also which lugs are you using with your aftermarket rims?

Thanks!

Good question, I was about to ask this as well. I've got 7/16-20 on my rear axle, but I'll be swapping those out to 12x1.5 to match the fronts. I don't know where I got the rear lug nuts, but they're nice pieces. Solid one piece design, and pretty hefty. The fronts, I got at either Autozone or Napa and they're pieces of junk. They're basically open ended nuts with cheap little caps pressed on. Most of the caps have fallen off (so now it looks like I just went to Home Depot and got some nuts out of the 5 cent bin), and the ones that haven't are rusted to hell.

I'd like some quality pieces, but I don't want to pay $80 for a full set.

Another vote for Mcguards.

Nykun,

What size studs are on your car now? Honestly with a project as well thought out at BBS LM wheels (great choice) I would go with 1/2" studs all around.
