Max absolute budget (including any to/from shipping, taxes etc.) is less than $400.

I want something with a little more effort and faster ratio than my stock steering box.

Should I go with:
1) Rebuild stock unit (Anyone have a favorite vendor within my budget)
2) Adapt a 2nd gen box (Which one)?
3) Adapt a 3rd gen box
4) Use an aftermarket unit (again which one in my budget)

Needless to say, I'd like to know the reasoning behind them also.

Thanks for your recommendations.

I am also trying to figure out what to do here. I like the idea of the DSE box but at 425.oo it is alread yout of your budget. You will still need to adapt PS lines to it. Not sure about which coupler it will require.

I would think your best bet would be the 3rd gen box. It is still going to cost close to 400 though. :(

If anyone has experience in adapting one of these later model boxes, please chime in. I havent been able to find any good info yet.

EDIT:GO here. It will most likely answer all your questions.
