GM X Frame Modification

I have a 1964 Impala SS with the Ridetech Level 3 airbag suspension package. I realize there are custom frames out there. A custom fraim is a little out of my price range. Is anyone modifying the GM X frames to improve rigidity? I was thinking something similar to subframe connecctors could be used around the outside perimeter.
