I've been reading as much as I can on this site and other to get a good direction to go on my build and figure it's time to say hi!

My build is a 62 Impala SS car that was a ladder bar back half job that was in bad shape and I'm a drag racer at heart, but I've come to realize that I don't have the time or money to keep up with a class and go to the track every weekend. So I have decided to build a car that I can drive on the street and play with.

Seeing how the floor was cut out and only the front of the frame was left I'm going to build my own frame using C4 front end and a triangulated 4-link setup for the rear. The power will come from a 454 BBC with twin 74mm turbos into (if I can find one cheap) a 4L80e and a 9" rear. I know it will not be the best, but I'm just looking for a cheaper drivable car I can build myself.

Here is the car as it came to me.

the wheels I', going to use tell I can get the ones I want.

And as it seats today.

LOL!! there is information on just about anything you would want to know about a car here. In most cases if you have searched and can't find what you are looking for then someone will chime in and help. I don't see much 'hoarding' of knowledge here. I like pictures so keep posting pics of your progress please :D

Funny part is I was just about to PM you for a price on some parts.

I've been reading the 'Rainy Day suspension basics' thread where you posted the kit for building the front of a torque arm. After reading the thread I fell the T/A setup is the way I would like to go and seeing no one build stuff like that for my car I need to build my own arm.
