A buddy found these wheels sitting curbside for garbage pickup, and with the owner's permission, were given to me, for better use:

Complete Disc Brake assembly was still attached!:

Had air hammer & forks ready to remove linkage, but just 3 taps with the BFH, and the tie rod/upper & lower ball joints popped out with no effort:

Caliper, Rotor & Dust shield removed, the bare spindle is ready for blasting & painting (Eastwood Chassis Black), to wait for UMI suspension for reassembly:

Looks like a nice find! I hate seeing that old stuff thrown out... sometimes it's useless but they just don't make this stuff anymore.

In my case, not "useless", in place of having to buy (expensive) aftermarket drop spindles & hardware, that may or may not work, and to save cost by rebuilding this EXTRA set with all new parts...while still able to leave the ORIGINAL disc brake assembly on the car, as a rolling chassis, while I sandblast & repaint the frame, before installing the new full (front & rear) UMI suspension!
(Just the point of saving a step & time, of having brakes & suspension Ready To Install, before even having to remove the original parts from the car!)

I'm just excited to see how it LOOKS, all put together; because it's going to take awhile before I can take it out to see how it PERFORMS!
I'm hoping before this time, next year, to have the car driveable/street legal, again! Not necessarily finished, but at least that far, as to get it back on the road, anyway!
