I just installed a set on my 69 camaro from a usa selling e bay store.(YES I KNOW>>staying away from flea bay starting now!)
The upper and lowerarms look great they seem to be the same as some of the expencive ones sold..and with no lables or instructions I wonder if they are the same as cpp .
Now heres the problem...I installed them and they are not the correct lenghths. the tires tilt in 1/2" with no adjustment for alignment!
Also with 1" droped springs it sits too low (over 3" from stock)
So now what do I do ? I have done all the work and mess around with it for weeks and have no car to drive and no one to care. I have no $$$ to buy a good set from a real co. that would help me correct the problem.
Its cheap but not worth it if Im stuck with a car I cant drive.
Any Idea what the probem is? They bolted up without a problem so I do not think they are for a different car, unless a 2nd gen or chevelle is that close that it will bolt up but be off.
I have a good straight frame, stock spindls, disc brakes. just installed bmr subframe connectors and global west 1" droped springs and front and rear sway bars.
Your comment "...and no one to care" speaks volumes.
The steel is worth about $11.00. The bending costs another $20.00. The welding, maybe another $15.00. Bushing and ball joints = $25.00.
Knowing where to bend, where to weld, and being accessible to answer questions...well, that's what your paying for. And the multi million dollar product liability insurance policy that any reputable suspension company will carry.
Don't feel too bad, you're not the only victim, just the latest one.
From someone who does give a damn...I'll trade in your ebay arm for StrongArms. I want to see how the Chinese have failed once again.

Wow. Bret and ridetech continue to impress me. I just bought a car with the eBay control arms and am looking to replace them asap.

+1 for Brett. Great guy, great company.
I'll be interested to hear his analysis of the geometery differences and where the other arms fall down.

Way to go Bret, I hope to read your analysis soon. Hopefully some structural tests aswell, compared to one of your arms. If you dont post the results by SEMA I will stop by your booth and talk to you then.
Rock on Brett, way to help! I would like to see the analysis also, I see lots of the cheaper arms on more and more cars at shows out here

Love to see someone stepping up to help even though he was not a customer.
Makes me glad I have made the decision to buy front and rear triple adjustable coilovers from him.

That's way cool to do that for him! I am continually amazed at what a great bunch of people frequent this forum and especially the vendors! Very impressed! Makes me feel even better that I bought Ride Tech spindles for my car.

Let me know what you find Bret, we were offered these arms when they first hit the shore years back, its a shame now so many ebay guys are selling them! Even though i sell on ebay i refuse to sacrafice saftey and lawsuits over a set of arms...they are making next to NO $$$ on them and taking a major risk. I would run stock arms before those...as we all know the original design was a COSMETIC copy of the DSE arm.....pathetic

It only took once for me... I bought a set of "drop springs" from some unknown ebay company... installed them and the front sat 2" higher and the back sat about 1" off the ground. It was a mess. Thankfully Paypal covered me and returned the funds to me when I sent them back.
Never buy a suspension part from an unknown name. Lesson learned.

Well put! We do sell a ton of parts on ebay but when it comes to suspension and brakes all you will see is name brand!!!
Helps me sleep at night lol!

You forgot to mention those outside the community. I understand trying to save a buck but never buy "new, same as" from egay.
