Hi, my name's Cristián Urrutia and I'm from Chile. I've got a 72 Chevrolet Vega GT with a sbc 355, 5 speed t-5 transmission and a long list as you can imagine.

Big fan of pro tourings, my dream is build one in the near future as long as the money and time helps me. I've been following the forum since a long time, but right now I'm posting because I want to do some questions in the correct forum.

Well, we do have (with my brother) some others vehicles like a 73 Blazer K5, 68 Chevelle, 73 Nova and 66 Chevelle sedan.

Hope to have a good reception here, thanks guys!!

Welcome Cristián!

I am a big fan of the 1971-1973 Vega's. What do you plan for the car in the future?

Hi BMR, the car is used for street/strip purposes, so the plans for the future are having a good and reliable engine, which has been an issue, better brakes and installing the lower valance panels, I haven't found those though. Making all of that it should be ready, but we all know that is such a lie hahaah.

I also have a 73 Nova which is my next project, but a big PT project. When it beggins I'll posted in here.

Cheers!!

Those Vegas are great little cars .
They just need some powertrain , wheel , brake , and suspension upgrades .
Welcome to the site !

Just joined and did a search for Vega- Glad to see another out there. I am just starting from bone stock- doing a five lug suspension upgrade on my '73. I would love to throw in a light weight LS motor, but I do have a few small blocks laying around, including a 383 w/ aluminium heads (lighter). I have never driven a V8 Vega. How does the weight of that small block feel up front running thru some curves?
