I finally figured I better start a build post on my 69 camaro, I purchased this car in 2007 after it had been parked since 1995. I had gone to school with the previous owner and saw him and he asked if I was interested in the car. I was but had just bought a wrecked car to rebuild, Two months later I see him again and of course ask if he still has the car and tell him I wouldn't mind looking at it sometime. He insist we go look at it right at that moment and after talking with wife (aprox 2 months into the marriage I now have to ask) I take her and we go back and look at it. Four hours later we had made a deal and loaded the car on the trailer and took home. I took the old solid centerlines off and put rally wheels on and tried to get to where it was driveable. I drove it about 50 miles, then I saw the camaro performers magazine with Scott Gulbranson's 69. That was It it had the fat tires the fuel injected motor, big brakes, and still a classic car. I was hooked. We tore the car down to nothing had it media blasted, ordered qtrs, mini tubs from dse and started on the project back of the car in 08. I notched the original frame and wasn't completely happy with the setup, It just didn't seem like it would be structurally as strong, so we ordered up a art morrison gmax front and rear clip. I ordered from Prodigy, It showed up in march of 2010 and finally I put it in towards the end of the year. So we are now to the motor and trans point. I had ls3 rebuilt with 416 stroker kit and order 6spd from hurst conversions,

It is now obviously 5 years into the project, I have sold the snap on franchise, and plan to work on the car as much as possible the next year or until it's done. I replace door skins, then welded edges for fit, have frame done, I cut firewall out and replaced with one piece and then cut holes for column and brake setup, I then pulled motor and trans, rear end, and subframe and built a cart so I can finish up the main body, trunk alignment and such. I hope to have the body primered in the next month.
I will then start reassemly I appreciate all the good advice and opinions from all the other gearheads on the site and will continue to post pics of work in progress as I go. I plan to attend the sema show and meet a few of the pro=touring guys. Thanks for lookin and hope you enjoyed the pics.

looks pretty good so far travis. Yeah, starting with a complete car is nice. You get to learn where every nut a bolt go and in its proper place.
