First off I would like to thank all the sponsors for throwing this event, No Limit, TCI, Blank Ink Media, CFR, RideTech, and Black Widow. The staff at Adams motorsport park is also amazing and deserves a ton of praise for running a top notch track, keeping things flowing, and having timing available almost immediately. The tack was amazingly fun, and we all got a ton of seat time.

So now for the fun story of the shootout. Brett had shown up and Rob from No Limit was nice enough to give him the keys to the red C10 that is the truck equivalent of Brian Hobaughs CP camaro:
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2012/09/079-1.jpg
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2012/09/016-1.jpg
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2012/09/017-1.jpg
Brett had been piloting the truck around in a class of his own all day, about a half a second faster than the 2nd place of the very impressive mustang that Karl was piloting:
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2012/09/036-1.jpg
If Karl had flares and 335's he might have been right in there with Brett (inside joke). Well as the event progressed Karl was eliminated by Brett in the truck second round (tough climb). Another driver name Casey from the JCG corral had progressed very far in the shootout. Casey pilots a 92 Camaro with a TPI:
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2012/09/199-1.jpg
Well as luck would have it, 3rd gens have temperamental ignition modules. Casey's car wouldn't hot restart when he had to go up against the absolutely stunning Sunbeam:
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2012/09/096-1.jpg
Well the driver of the sunbeam was sportman enough to allow Casey to drive the JCG built 68 Camaro owned by Karl Dunn. Blu can be seen here hiding after a long day of off roading at the hands of Cris from JCG:
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2012/09/196-1.jpg
Casey went out and rocketed around the track and eliminated the Sunbeam to secure a spot in the finals against Brett in the No Limit C10. So we have two drivers, both in cars they don't own, both with the fastest times of the day. Casey and Brett went out and both had stellar runs, and both were VERY close in times. Casey barely edged out Brett and took the win in Blu. In case your having trouble keeping up

The entire event was a ton of fun, we all got a TON of seat time. I completely destroyed my tires and had a blast doing so. Thanks everyone for throwing this event!

Just to prove im not full of crap, and explain why my times suck, my tires were done for:
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2012/09/BO_Tire-1.jpg
I could feel them coming apart when I was driving. I think I got about 100 runs out of them, and they were used to begin with so I am happy with the them overall.

I know you needed to take off, but if you had been able to stick around you would have heard them announce that a certain gray Chevelle won the classic muscle car class!

Arghh!, So you are saying I would have one of those little tires? I guess I was confused a little about the classes and assumed when Casey beat me I was gone.....
thinking back though he was in new muscle class so since I made it to the final five cars and I was the highest finishing muscle class?? Not really sure how that all worked but technically Casey likely won both New Muscle and Muscle when he switched to the 68 Camaro. However if not the case and Rob has a trophy I would be glad to pick it up:). In any case I had a good time. This was my second time at Adams and I picked up about 2-1/2 seconds from March. I know there is plenty more as I lack discipline and focus but you already knew that by riding with me and seeing my dukes of hazzard driving. I will work on being a better study to your pointers next time.

Thanks again to No Limit and all the others working and supporting this event!

I really enjoyed watching you run Tom. I kept calling you 'Wildman'. Here is a sequence that Ben my marketing guy caught.

Awesome shots - you go Tom!!! Personally I'd blow that first one up and stick it on my wall if it were my car :-)

So I was dehydrated and sleep deprived but I tossed together a quick edit of the only 5 minutes of video I shot.
