whats the best/affordable kit for an LS swap in a 1st gen out there?.. who offers it?

for a stock subframe.. and 4l60E.

a whole kit with the headers, mounts, everything(except the pan and reprogrammed ecu which i have)

or is it better to cobblestone one together?

I mainly want to get the "better" set of headers for the swap but not splurge for em though..

Im just doing this cost effectively cause it will be just to get the thing down the road for a short while..

I ended up getting a 6.0 out of a truck and then got the accessory drive and mounts from dirty dingo. With a new cam and Ls3 heads and intake, I'm just below $4000. I can email you all my receipts to help if you need it. A lot of those motors came with a 4l60e, so it would be super easy.

Oh nah the thing is i have the motor and trans.. I just need the mounting kit, headers, trans crossmember etc..

There are kits on ebay and summit but the headers all look the same, prices differ, etc..

The Dynatech swap headers are nice pieces for the money. Middle of the road pricing, but they do hang a little low.

I am using a kit from Southern Performance Systems, seems to work well enough and they have all the stuff you are asking about.

and headers from 519-789 from the same people
