Hello Pro-Touring.com community,
I've been following PT for many years and recently registered in preparation for the start of my project. I've always had a lot of respect for what many of you have achieved with your projects, and I'm sure that I'll need to tap into this vast knowledge at some point during this process.
Up till now I've been researching parts and saving money. I'm finally ready to start buying parts (wow is this stuff is expensive!!) and I wanted to share what I've come up with so far.
The goal for the Camaro is to be a fun top-down cruiser with the majority of the budget allocated towards the mechanical bits and less towards body/interior enhancements. The car will eventually need paint and body work, but I'd rather not delay enjoying the car while I wait for my budget to allow for paint & body. And unfortunately the current mechanical condition is not suitable for safe and reliable cruising so I feel that doing the mechanical bits now is my best option, and the paint and body will come down the road.
This is the current (and still growing) parts list. If anyone sees glaring mistakes please let me know. I've researched these parts and I feel like I am on the right track, but I know many of you have tried these parts and your experience is priceless.
