Is anyone using one in an A Body at present? If so, a pic or two would tell a thousand words!

I'm lead to believe these are identical to the ones marketed by AutoKraft?

Be real interested to know how it goes as far as tie rod clearance goes (I'll be setting back so hopefully won't pose too much of a challenge) and how well the trapdoors perform, I know it's no dry sump but for an initial set-up it's about as good as I have have come across...open to other options though.

Do most guy's run the fabbed alloy version or the sheetmetal?

...and as far as block strength is concerned, is it generally accepted that the stock cast pans are critical to maintaining strength or is this a bit of an old wives tale?

the autokraft pan is made by champ. i had one but sold it for a mast pan. the autokraft is a good pan. for me it was the fact the oil filter adaptor stuck out so far to the side. there should be pics around. have you tryed looking on ls1tech or chevelles.com?
