This past weekend I went with a buddy of mine here (Patricio that has a 73 camaro with an LS1) to his friend's shop. I have been down here about 2 years and don't get around old cars that often (unless I go back to the states and see mine). The guy who owns that shop is named Daniel and he is probably the only conversion shop here in this country attempting these type of conversions. the availability of parts for these conversions outside the US are really limited. Most of the people here end up re-engineering or making parts from scratch to do what they are trying to do. Sure, parts can be imported but between the import tariffs and such, it would double the price of the actual part and sometimes take weeks/months to get it. Daniel (like alot of the car shops here) use as much of the donor cars as possible. I took pictures of the 3 cars he is in the middle of converting right now. The first is a grey 67 (I think) Mustang fastback that will have the entire front/rear suspension and engine from an 03 cobra. The white 66? mustang is getting the same treatment. The last and my favorite is a 1971 corvette that is getting the entire suspension/engine from an LS2 Vette. They even have plans to make the ABS operable.

Takes a lot of determination to go through with projects like that where parts availability is so limited.
