Hey guys,
Excited to have my GTO blasted and in my garage today, started this project almost 30 years ago right out of high school and now I am finally able to get back to it. Typical stuff like college, work, raising two kids, rebuilding an old house and garage got in the way. My vision back then was to make a track car I could autocross with my Dad. I am sure with the information and knowledge out there on this site it will make my build much more fun. My plans after I get new quarters on and patch up all the other thin metal are an LSX, Tremec 5 spd, Currie 9 inch rear end, SC+C suspension, 18" Forgeline's, 8 point cage to the frame, custom dash, Vintage Air, 04 GTO handbrake and console. Figure its gonna take years but I am looking forward to the adventure.
Sorry if the picts are bad I hope to get better.

I am trying to plan the locations and means of attachment for the 8 point roll cage. Does anyone have experience with going to the frame through the floors on an A body? My thoughts originally were to use a plate so I could separate the body from the frame if I had to. Now I am thinking of trying a sleeve welded to the frame where I can drop the cage into and plug weld. Dont mind cutting a big piece of floor out and making bolt down access panels.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Eric
