Hey,

This seems to be a common issue here. So I figured I'd share what I did. These are to adapt a set of Recaro LX-C seats into my '87 Camaro. The Camaro uses a 13.5" wide and 14" long slider setup. I believe this size is common to many other GM vehicles.

These are made from 1/4" 7075 T6 aluminum. If you want to make your own, its up to you do determine the correct material and thickness. I am NOT responsible for anything that happens if someone decides to use my design. It is NOT intended to be copied, these are for REFERENCE only.

For the correct result, make sure you print this on 11x17" or larger paper with NO SCALING. Use the provided standards to verify the scale of the print out.

I am considering adding a stiffener for extra stiffness.

On thing I should add is that of my two Recaro seats. One had 6mm mounting holes and the other had 8mm holes. The mounting bosses are the same, so I drilled and tapped the 6mm holes out to 8mm. The brackets have hole sizes assuming 8mm holes. Also, the Recaro mounting holes are supposed to be 16" apart, side to side. One of mine was about 1/32" over 16" and the other was about 1/32" under 16". So make sure to measure your seats and adjust your holes accordingly.

Very nice adapter brackets! I used passenger side manual tracks from a Chevy Cavalier. I picked up some 8mm bolts and I'm using the rear holes on the seat frame to mount the rear of the manual rail. I welded nuts to the bottom of the seat frame in the front and drilled holes in the track to line up. I just finished last night, so I haven't completely mounted the rails yet. I think my seat frame may be a little different from yours because you have the extension and I have LS-B's. I know my frame is a complete square, but I can't tell if yours is? The only thing I might do is make to cross bars like yours for additional support. If it works as planned, I might have $40 in both seat tracks when done.

I have a few quick pics that I snapped this morning. Please excuse the lack of detail.

Right side of seat frame

Here is the pre-existing hole in the frame. I preferred to use this over drilling a new one.

Here is the nut welded in place. I'm no welder, so this was function over finish...lol

One side of the sliders will have these tabs that need to be removed.

Remove tabs, drill holes, mount rails. I need to add the tension cable that makes the slider release when you pull the lever.
