Hey guys I have the hotchkis tvs 80015 on my 68 camaro and the rear leaf springs are not settled equeally. The left is settled fully and the right is still very high. I have about 700 miles on it or more and the right leaf spring is still not settled.
Has anybody had this problem or know of a solution???

Check to be sure neither the front spring bushings or shackle bushings are dry or over tightened and binding. Loosen the bolts a little bit and take a short drive to see if it settles more. If the spring packs are too tightly clamped or banded it can cause them to lock up as well. If worse comes to worse you can pull the spring packs apart and see if one side or maybe just one leaf has more arch than the other side. If so a local spring shop can de-arch them/it for a few bucks. Mark SC&C

Thanks for the help Mark. Randal, if the problem isn't solved by checking adjusting the bushings then the next step would be to swap the leaf springs. If the height issue follows the spring, then you know that there is a problem with the spring itself (in which case please contact us and we'll get that taken care of). If the height issue doesn't follow the spring then it is something with the chassis of the car. In that case, pads can be added to the high side to lower the car down until the suspension is leveled. Please let us know what you find out as you look into the problem some more and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to call.
