So my wife has heard me lament how uncomfortable the factory seats were in my Camaro, today she unknowingly is sitting in my new seats and says "This car is really comfortable to ride in, these seats aren't bad at all." I tried my best to keep a straight face, but just couldn't do it.:D What I also like is the subtle appearance with these seats in the car, they appear period correct. I'm very happy with the seats, kudos to Ron at "JJ Custom Interiors" in Washington state. I also had the factory steering wheel wrapped in leather, have never liked how "thin" it felt and how slippery it could be in the heat of the sun.

Very nice seats. I really like the look of the seats that Ron recovers based on all the pictures I've seen on various forums. I've been trying to contact him a few times over the past 6 months but have yet to get a call back. How long did it take you to get the seats?

Too long, but in all honesty he had some bad health issues first part of this year. I'm happy I waited though, give him a call and ask him directly yourself is about the best I can tell you.
I did speak with Ron today, he said email is the best way to get hold of him.

I've been a fan of his for years, those turned out nice! I talked to Ron a couple weeks ago about recovering my LS's. Is that leather or the synthetic leather he has listed on his site? I was trying to find someone local, but I'm going to follow my first mind on this one and let him do mine.

Ron's work (or should I say his wife's work ) is just stunning. The details are better than any other I have seen. Stitching is very well done. And they are willing to do lots of custom stuff.

I just picked up my LX seats from him a few weeks ago for my Camaro.

Both look great guys. He's going to make my jackets and I'm sending the headrests and inserts for him to recover. I'll put everything back together myself.

guys who have used Ron at JJ, i have tried calling and emailing a bunch of times and never got a hold of him. His work is spectacular but is he reliable with his turn around times? I honestly do not want to wait months for seats that totally is not an option which is why I am searching for a local shop out my way, at least i can keep on them if it is taking too long. I hate to ship seats to the West Coast and have some fiasco waiting.

These seats are spectacular! I just sent them an email requesting a quote for a set Recaros and recovering the rear seat.

As Jon69RagTop pointed out, mine took a long time. Granted he did have health issues. Either way they took way to long. But for me it was worth the wait. I don't know who else would do this quality work for his price. One option, Ron has a lot of seats in stock. Maybe you could have him build one of his sets, then when they are finished you can send back your seats as cores. Probably save you $300-400.

I find that calling him works best. Even then, communication can be a challenge.

Hey Jon69RagTop, could you repost a picture of your seat? Very interested to see what it looks like. The other seat shown looks amazing.

Hey Guys,

Sorry we have been so busy playing catch up over the past year that i havent had a ton of time to check on the forums. I was dealing with quiet a few health issues over first half of the year and they really backed everything up. We are finally getting caught up as 90% of our older jobs are finished or near completion now and booking for January.

Ive learned my lesson on booking too tight and we have started to space things out a little more. It is just the two of us here so little hiccups can go a long way. I figure it will be better to get things finished early then too late.

I will try to get on here more often to check up on my IM's and whatnot. If any of you have any questions feel free to email me directly [email protected]. If i do not respond then there is a good chance i did not get the email because i try to respond to all emails atleast 2-3 times a week.

Thanks,
Ron

It sounds like Ron is a very busy guy. I have called a couple times and sent a couple emails with no luck. He is hard to get in touch with. Anyone else have better luck?

Just fixed our phone so we should be easier to get in touch with. Im not sure what the email issue is, i reply to all my emails atleast once a week at the very very least. Usually i respond within 24-48 hours. What is your email address? I can look it up and tell you if they are getting through. You are not the first person to tell me this.

I got my netted head rests from Ron a few weeks ago. They should complete the 80's look in my IROC. And a few other toys.

Hey guys does anyone have Ron's direct number? I tried the link to his website and it seems that it has expired, also his profile says that he hasn't been on here since 10/30/12. I would really like to get some seat foam and diaphragms, but the only other place I found was in the UK and they wanted something like $75 a pop.

He usually responds to email within a day or so. I've contacted him that way and he called me back.
