Well I finally took my car out drag racing. I was very nervous as I have never done it before. I ran just like it runs on the street. Just adjusted tire pressure. First run, at about 10 feet the tranny popped out of gear. Slammed it backin. 13.73 seconds 118 MPH. I was a little disappointed to say the least. Second pass much better, 12.2 at 118 mph. Third time 12.4 with tire spin, again 118 mph. Had a blast will do it agin.

Vince, Rod, Mike -- lemme know when you go to Infineon... I'd love to join or spectate if my car is not ready. It's on my to-do list!

Yeah let me know, I would go again. There are a few things that they let me pass on, that I will need to change. I need an external shut off, bulkhead behind back seat, and fire jacket.

Any motor pics? Would like to see your layout. Planning on a p1sc or d1 myself in the future.

Im just surprised with your SSF background that you didn't sweat VHT and piss Nitro Methane. LOL

Definately a must do.....Lets see if I can find an up coming test and tune weekend. The Hang over nationals are always fun to go to. Dave, start practicing your tree skills.

Does this mean we are finally going to get to that harness bar too?

Yeah Vince, I need to make up my mind. After travelling that fast, and thinking (which is always trouble for me), I am considering the Tiger Cage, or a 4 point Roll bar with high bars for everyones heads. Still on the fence.

Just a quick reminder - roll bars are not great ideas for cars that are driven on the street regularly. To be of any real help to protect the occupants in the event of a roll-over they need to be pretty close to your head. They are great for the track when you are wearing a helmet, but on the street when you are not it can be all to easy to hit your noggin on the horizontal bar right above you when you hit a bump. Of course, I am sure you guys have perfectly smooth roads out there in Cali.
