Wiring my engine, Knock sensor??

Ok, I bought a premade harness because I cannot stand sitting there and wiring, and I wanted to be up as quick as possible. The harness I ordered is nice, but NOTHING is labeled, which BLOWS.

I heard a few times that no connector is alike, but, I found two alike. There are two connectors on the throttle body, one was 4 (I think) wires in a straight line, the other was 3 wires in a triangle shape. But, the area directly behind the intake has 3 connections, and one is exactly like that.

I have everything but one connector hooked up, and it will not fit.

Here is the last plug I need.

Also, this O-shaped connector is supposed to connect to the starter... if you know ANYTHING about first gens, this is NO where close. Any advice at all?

The one in the top pic looks like the oil pressure sender which you won't be using. I'm not 100% certain but it sure looks like it.

Then how would I use the gauge?

Also, another question, I wired the car with AAW kit, do I just tie off and set to the side all the wires I used for my small block? (Ign and Tach to the distributor, water and oil sending units, the alternator regulator wires etc)

Ok, apparently the connection I missed in the crank sensor and it's near the starter. But my other questions still stand.

Man I hate posting stuff then almost immediately realizing I said something dumb.

If you are using the same gauges, you can re-use the sending wires. You may need an adapter fitting to get the sending units installed (std thread to metric). You can remove the stock oil pressure sending unit(pictured above) and install the old oil pressure sending unit there. The easiest place for the temp sender is in the pass side head near the firewall. There is usually a hex shaped threaded plug in there on LS1's. Not sure on new motors. What color wire is connected to the O style connector? Starter should be purple. It looks like the area where the ground wire is bolted to the back of the head. If its black, i'd bet on the ground. You can use the ignition wire for the power for the ecm or tie it off. Who's harness is this? Scott

I guess I need to order a new Autometer oil sender, the old one was sold with the old engine. The harness has a water temp sensor plug (the temp sensor is in the same spot as a SBC, right?), so no worries there. The harness is PSI, they included somewhat detailed instructions, and a checklist for connectors and it's color coded, but all the colors are wrong. I'm hoping he just hasn't updated the list. The harness has 2 ground O-shaped plugs and one starter O-shaped plug. The grounds are black, the starter is covered, so I couldn't see the color, I may need to pull the sheathing back and check, but according to the instructions, that picture is the starter one, and would be really difficult to stretch to the starter.

The 2 together #21 are both grounds for the back of the head. #26 labeled starter is in the same bundle as the crank sensor & O2 sensor, so it should end up right by the starter. The temp sensor plug is for the factory sender in the driver side head. Its what the ECM uses for engine functions. You will need to run a separate sender in the pass head for the gauge. Scott

Yeah, the picture shows the starter wire in the correct place, on my harness it's moved up and very short. I guess I'll open the loom and try and give more slack.
