I have a chance to pick up a gen 1 viper motor/trans/harness/ecu for very cheap. So was thinking about doing a swap
into one of my cars. But My question in hooking up the car wire harness, with the motor and trans harness. Do I just
buy a basic muscle car harness from painless and wire the rest of the car separate. Ive seen people do this swap on street rods
and the like, but just wondering how to wire the rest of the car, before I buy this motor and end up losing out cause I cant get it to
work. I can fab up metal pretty good, but wiring is my weakness. Thanks for any input.

Hope this makes sense. I'm tired, its late and I just cant sleep.

Anything can be done, but when I began researching I was encouraged to stay far away from the Gen 1. An option may be to contact Hot Wire Auto about their Viper Hot Rod Harness. They can also flash the ecu. I don't know the specifics of why to stay away from the Gen 1, was just told either Gen 2 or 3 (3 being preferred). The Gen 1 didn't pan out so I hung up researching that one and am now doing a Gen 2.

I hear you, I didn't want to pay it either. Deals do pop up occasionally, just need to be patient. Good luck! What are you planning to put it in?
