1st. post on this forum. Want to lower the front of my 68 Camaro 350 w/air. Want to get it down 1 to 1 1/2 inches (looking for a better stance but need to clear the driveway). Read the posts giong back many years, but still can't decide on coilovers (QA1 ?) vs springs w/spring adjusters (AFCO ?) vs ?. It's a daily driver (non autocross). Need adjustability so I can tweak for tire clearance, etc. Also, any recommendations on a good shop to do the work in the Marin/Sonoma county area of California. May do the work myself, but getting too old to mess with flying coil springs.

Budget usually plays into the decision, but if that isn't a problem air ride would get you the best of both world. The springs with adjusters are by far the cheapest option.

the afco adjusters go in the upper pocket of the frame and are tough to adjust (you could slot the frame to reach the adjuster) the coil over can be adjusted with out to much work other than the coil over wrench, and the air ride set up will give the easiest adjustable suspension
if my car was just a daily driver/crusier I would run the air ride
