I think that they are centered from factory, but wanted to make sure. Is the pinion centered in the car, which makes each axle tube same length? Thanks in advance!

The pinion is in the center, but the axle tubes are not the same length.

GM cars have a 1/2" pinion offset to the passenger side for steering box clearance.

Because of the shape of the "center section" correct?

Sorry, to be clear most GM cars have the engine and drive train offset to the passenger side for clearance. This causes the pinion to be offset also. Unless you have a chassis that was built for a centered pinion.
