I'm in the process of re-installing the side and vent windows in my son's 67 Camaro. Read a lot of articles about how to install the vent window into the frame was well as how to install the quarter window molding. Most of the articles refer to using glass setting tape, but I've tried this in the past and it's a pain to work with. Was wondering if anyone has tried to set their vent windows as well as their quarter window trim using a urethane adhesive like 3M Window-Weld (http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/3M-10-1-2-oz-cartridge-Window-Weld-black-super-fast-urethane/_/N-25y6?itemIdentifier=464397&_requestid=7072823)? I would rather not deal with the window tape if I can avoid it. ---Eric

Senior,

I used 100% clear silicone on my vents and it has held up great and very easy to work with and clean. If they ever need to come back out a razor blade will do the trick. Good luck...

I recommend using black silicon. Dry install the glass first and run a line of masking tape around the glass next to the edge of the frame. Then take the glass out and add the silicon. Some silicon will squeeze out onto the tape. The tape can then be removed after the silicon starts setting up to leave a nice clean line.
