Marquez has now released their GM billet rear view mirror assembly for purchase! I finally got my hands on this one at Columbus and they are a work of art. Machined 6061-T6 and polished to a near chrome finish, and the best part is the LED courtesy lighting with a touch sensetive switch. It is battery powered and should last for years before needing replaced. There will be a black finish available soon but pricing had not been set last time I asked. These are listed in our online store, retail pricing is $379, and we will be shipping these for free on all orders for the next couple weeks.

How soon for the black ones?Black finishes are still being researched. Annodizing will eventually discolor due to UV sunlight. I will let everyone know when they have one available.

I was thinking the same thing.
Especially when you can go to ebay or a junkyard and get one out of a newer vehicle with a compass and other features for like 1/10th of the price.
Not trying to be a ****, it does look pretty awesome...just don't really see the point...

That's called "subjective value." Every individual has their own value scale against which various products are measured. Just because YOU don't see the point, plenty of others will think this product is worth more to them than having $400 in their pocket. Obviously, this vendor felt that there are enough people interested in this product at this price, otherwise they would not have made it. Time will tell if they are correct or not.

I agree Andrew. I would love to have one of those mirrors. I may or may not get around to getting one. It's down on the list for sure.
I'll always spend a few thousand dollars a year on my car. If it was closer to what I wanted I'd grab one.
I'm sure there are enough guys our there with nicely finished cars who are just looking to make a few changes, in the grand scheme of what we spend on our cars, $400 is nothing.

I wanted to research all their parts availability for a 70 Chevelle but their website is down? How can I go about viewing their products? I have purchased plenty from Marquez before.

for someone that spends 30, 40, 50, 75, 100, 150k on their car, $400 is nothing, and is money well spent if they like the product.

Marquez is more or less out of business. Impossible to get through or get parts.

Too bad there isn't a company stepping up to fill the void. There appears to be a healthy market for the products.

MCB a site sponsor still gets some Marquez parts from time to time, mainly the tail light bezels from as far as I can tell. You might try them.

Can anyone please let me know how you can replace the batteries on this mirror. I purchased one of these back in 2009 and they need replacement. I tried to remove the set-screws but can't seem to remove the light panel where I would think they would be. If you know how to replace these batteries, please let me know.
Thanks,
Mark

Mark, you removed both the screws on either side? It should drop right out to replace the AAA batteries. You might just have to give it a healthy tap to your palm on the mirror edge, being ready to catch it when it drops loose.
My question is since these guys are out of business I should have gotten mine replaced when I had the chance since the "switch" to turn the light on never did work right. Any bump in the road and it was on or off. It ended up draining the battery and I haven't touched it since (until now, looking for a replacement). Too bad. It was a solid idea.
