Ok here is my plan to start compiling a pro touring style front suspension and brake build on my 71 chevelle(450hp 355ci 700r4 8.5 10bolt car)I will be buying the parts individually as I don't have the money to purchase a kit I have searched and search through many resources on this and will spend money on quality parts and save where I can. My questions are this I have drum/drum right now and plan on a c5/c6 swap I also want to replace the control arms and qa1 adjustable coil overs. I hear allot about the tall spindle swap also and here allot about people who buy drop spindles dragging parts on the ground when they do A-arms also. I pretty much want bang for the buck from what I have seen is I can get reman c6 or z06 calipers pretty cheap and the same for the c5 rotors. Is this correct parts for the swap using a Kore mount. I already have drum brakes so getting the hubs turned down sounds cheaper then buying new ones and I can always buy the new ones down road. Do I swap to a tall spindle? Advantages and Disadvantages? Which control arms and why? What master cylinder? Do I need to replace the one I have (power Brakes)? Which QA1 do I buy is worth the extra money for the double adjustable? How much ride hieght variable do I get fom them? What wheels work with this Brake swap? Heard of problems with some wheels was planning 17 front and 18 rear but would be willing to go 18 front and 20 rear if needed. Can I upgrade to wilwood or baer calipers easily in the future? How hard it the rear disc with parking brake swap and what parts are needed for that? I also hear I have to change the studs for the hubs? Sorry to bomb with all these questions but the worst question is one not asked. Almost forgot to add tall balljoint?
