I'm new here recently bought a 1963 impala 2 dr. with the 283 with the rock crusher 4 speed. I'm planning on making it a pro touring car. I'm still new to all of it so any advice would work great. first on the agenda is better brakes and brake lights lol.its a fairly solid car. I'm trying to figure out wheel size and backspacing at the moment so i can go ahead and get her lowered a lil bit 62406

With the right stance, wheel/tire combo that car will be incredible. Keep the pictures coming for sure!

I don't know what your skill level is but if you want simple and easy call ridetech and order everything they make for that car and then use a Borgeson steering box. We have done a few with this setup and they ride and handle very, very well. Use the musclebars front and rear as well.

That car will easily take the same width wheel front and rear so be sure to get as much tire as you can under the front. The exhaust is the limiting factor in the rear.
