Guys, I'm new to the website and have some questions I need help with. I lost my father this past May to cancer and he was up until now had taught me most everything I know about restoring cars. We restored the camaro once together however I am wanting to go the pro-touring route for the killer looks. I have done a lot of research and want to use Forgeline DS3 (http://www.forgeline.com/products/performance-series-step-lip/ds3-17-18-19-20.html) wheels. I will not be lowering the car, it has a big block with hooker super comp headers so ground clearance would be an issue plus maybe I'm just old school and kind of like the car to sit up a bit. Also, I will never be racing the car it is strictly a driver. I am wanting to go with 18x8.5 front and 18x10 on rear, what back spacing should each use with factory style suspension or at the most Hotchkis upper and lower control arms on the front. The "tucked" look is not too important to me as long as the tires are even with the outer lip of the wheel wells with stock 4 leaf rear springs I'm thinking it wouldn't rub since it's now lowered. As far as tires go what would you recommend to run on the front and on the rear? Thanks.

I love forgelines!!! Really want a set for mine but not sure if I can swing the $$.

Are you minitubbed? If not the 10" may be too wide. 9.5" wide and 275 tires seems to be the max with stock wheel wells.

brgable, I would have to agree with BuddyP. If the car is not tubbed, a 9 or a 9.5 may be as wide as you can go. We have a wheel fitment sheet that will help determine the amount of room available as well as the proper backspace http://www.forgeline.com/wheel_fitment.php . My first thought would be to fill out the sheet and determine what we can do for the build "as is". Then you can contact Hotchkis, let them know the suspension parts you are considering and see what their recommended width and backspace would be. We could then look at both scenarios and see if we can build something to work around both optons. I will gladly assist you in this process.

I'm running 18x8's w/5" BS and 245/40/18's up front and 18x9's w/5.25" BS and 275/40/18's in the rear. Tires are Nitto 555's.
