What spring rate should I get for a 68 Firebird with 383 motor and 350 transmission.
Application is street.
There is 350, 400 and 450.
Thanks

I run 550 front, 300 rear. 450's front were almost at coil bind since it is such a short spring. (tried them years back with a steel block 358 with aluminum heads, so it was probably similar in weight to your setup.)

Front or rear? What suspension? It'll change the rates depending on how close or far the shock is mounted from the tire. Engine alluminum? Ect. Best to weigh the car and go with the softest rate you can get by without hitting the bumpstops with. Just my .02

Its for the front.
Aren't 550s for big blocks?

I would run at least the the 450lb spring in the front. I am running that spring with an aluminum headed SBC and no issues with coil bind or hitting the bump stops during an auto-x.

600-650 in the front, and 175-225 in the rear. If they don't come with the right springs you can get pretty much anything from companies like Hyperco.
