In my quest for a really nice 69 driver to morph in to a mild PT machine I have come across this car. My wife and I are still trying to decide if its the right car for us (she is not sure about the interior) but I am thinking about picking it up either way and either keeping it do mild suspension mods and tires and wheels or flip it put the $$ made toward mods that we want to do to the one we will for sure keep.

I am going to be extra picky in my critique of the car so you have a true idea. To most people this is a show car.

I am told it’s an original car. It has power windows, AM/FM, tilt, fold down rear seat and a is a RS/SS 350 car. Original block is gone. The car was restored 13 years ago and has less the 5K miles driven since. 2 hoods go with the car the original and the cowl hood on it now. Both are painted.

Close inspection
Paint is nice inside and out never been cut or buffed well above driver quality but not perfection show. Car was apart when painted. Original 1/4s still on the car rear body was replaced could have done a little better job welding but I’m getting picky. There is minor rust bubbling all around the trim of the vinyl top and a very small rust spot low on one of the 1/4's close to where the 1/4 and outer wheel house meet.

The interior is very nice not much to pick on here. 134a a/c cools ok

The engine sounds good. The carb and air cleaner long gone. Could use detail and a little TLC but nothing major.

Under the car is the only place where they go a little lazy. looks to be original floors untouched. The trunk area there several spots where they just wiped kitty hair with I’m sure covered some rust spots. Its probably needs a trunk floor if I started digging around. Not anything that needs immediate attention

I have 2 Daytona yellow cars. The best color IMO ... The rust puts me out. I just think you never know
What's under there.

As for the rust the car has been painted 13 years and that's all that showing. Its not optimal but I not running away screaming......yet HAHA.... I have looked at many cars priced in the high twenties to mid 30's and this is by far been the best car I have seen by leaps and bounds. I'm not a newbie to paint and body work. I know what to look for and what it takes to fix. I am more asking the color combo and options in very nice driver / border line show car is really worth.

Also can anyone break down the trim tag?

I tend to agree with your price range but it would take me considerably more for me to buy this car. I have watched every car advertised with in 750 miles of Dallas for the last month and 25K is what people are wanting for what I consider project cars. I keep being told its a buyers market but someone forgot to tell the sellers that.
