Hello everyone, new guy here. i found this site while exploring pro-touring threads on other forums. i have been a lifelong Pontiac guy. I took possession of my Dad's 1 owner 66 gto Convertible in 1985 after he realized that he would never bring it back to it's glory, and knew i would and enjoy it more. I still drive it occasionally, and never plan to part with it. i drove a 71 Firebird Formula 455 Super Duty from 1979 until 1992 when it would not accommodate a baby seat. i sold it and suffered with regret until January of this year when i bought a 1972 Trans Am and quickly was bitten with the Pro-Touring bug. The plan is LS1/LS2/LS3, w/ 6-speed, 4 link suspension, 18's, and a few other tricks yet to be determined. i have under my belt of note builds of a 62 impala, 72 cutlass convertible, 85 chev SWB, & a 2000 MB C43. i have always done all my own work/builds, i.e. drivetrain, welding, body and paint. i only leave upholstery to the pros. hope i can gain and share experiences here.

Welcome to the site! Your Dads GTO sounds awesome. Nice score on the early 2nd gen T/A..... we have a great alternative to a 4-link for that car that is a true bolt-in kit:

Here is a install article that Super Chevy did a few years back:

Here is a VERY informative tech article written by our R&D manager explaining what it does:

We also offer a Torque Arm kit for guys who want a Ford9" that includes a bare Strange housing for $600 more. Take a look at the link below detailing an install that a member here completed with our Ford 9in. kit in his 1973 Firebird:
