Hey guys, could you tell me if I will notice a big different between 2.2 and 2.5 turns lock to lock on the steering wheel? I was reading David Pozzi's write up on using a 12.7:1 steering box and he says that if you have the following:

short steering arms(5.25) L & H Kustoms and long pitman arm(5.8) it will be 2.2 turns lock to lock.

or

short steering arms(5.25) L & H Kustoms and short pitman arm(5.25) it will be 2.5 turns lock to lock.

The set up I currently have will be 2.2 turns lock to lock and wanted to see if I should set it up so that I'll have 2.5? Since I'm putting together the suspension right now, it would be easier to change it now than later.

Thanks,

If your steering wheel is smaller than 14", go with the shorter Pitman arm to slow it down. With a stock 15" to 14" diameter steering wheel the fast combo is quick but not bad at all, as soon as you reduce wheel diameter to 13" it is so quick it becomes harder to accurately steer the car in an autocross. It becomes VERY hard to adapt to when getting out of a slower steering car and into a quick one like that.
With the One Lap Camaro, the arm combo is the fastest like yours, but the wheel is 14" and feels fine.
