I wasn't sure if I needed to post here or in the Multimedia subforum, so Mods may move if necessary.

I'm just about finished with the carbureted LS1 swap in my truck. Here's a few pics.

I went from this...........

This is in the semi-completed form. I still have some re-routing to do on some plumbing, and still needs some touch up and detail work here and there, but this gets me running and operating. I also plan to upgrade the accessory drive system to a Wegner setup in the future.

Nice work. The ls engine looks better in than than the sbc, except for the radiator hose. I think it would look better with full length headers though.

Very clean swap. It almost looks like it belongs in there stock! I agree with the above post on the full length headers. If you can fit them they would look and performance much better.

Thanks, guys. I wanted long tubes, but nobody makes any for this application yet in a "reasonable" price range. These are ceramic coated stainless and I have around $350 in them. The cheapest long tubes are $625+. As for the radiator hose, that's one of the plumbing areas I need to address. The cool part about it is the fact that since I'm using a truck accessory drive system, that's a stock hose for a 99-06 Chevy/GMC truck, so it was a quick and easy fitment to get going. I plan to eventually get tubing made and bent with the crimped ends for a custom fit.
