The shop putting the brakes in my car is having a hell of a time getting a firm pedal. The setup is the following:

- C5 front and rear
- Wilwood 1 1/8 aluminum Tandem MC
- OE replacement Power booster
- Willwood adjustable prop valve

The MC has been bench bleed, this is a competent shop but he is suggesting now to but 2 lb residual valves in the front and back lines. I've never heard of this and am wondering if this is a bandaid thing?I'll let them do it and hopefully its driveable this summer, but I'm wondering if long term I should re do the lines and put a smaller MC or hyrdoboost?

Residual valves are used when the MC is lower than the calipers. Properly setup, you don't need it.

I don't know what the C5 MC bore size is, but that is how I would size your current MC.

Are you using the C5 booster or one from the original car?

Thanks, MC is in stock location. I'm using a stock replacement booster, the car was manual brakes before all this.
