Yes, run on Saturday. You will have a blast. My wife raced our car last year and did fine. She had only driven the car around town before RTTH's. If I remember correctly most guys were running the entire course last year in 1st gear.

I have 4.10's with 6 speed so I was thinking 2nd gear, but we'll see. I just signed up for sat. The pressure of it selling out got to me.. With my automatic OD/3.42 67 camaro I ran all of the course in 1st. Thanks for your reply.

I have 3.73's with a 6 speed. I did about half my runs in 1st and half in 2nd. My first gear runs felt faster. My second gear runs felt smoother and easier to control. When I looked at my times they were about the same.(slow)

I am guessing they change the track layout each year. I have never been. What would you say was the average time in seconds?

Last year was my first RTTH's event. They changed the course from Fridays autox school to Saturdays racing, so I'm sure it was different from previous years. I would guess the average times were in the 50-52 second zone. Finch had the fastest run and I think it was 44.xx.

The track will be a little different both days and different from past years since we have more parking lot to use this year. If you have ever been to the stadium and know where we staged cars last year, all that is now new pavement, even with the rest of the lot so look out, more technical track.

There will be a press release shortly, but the fine folks at Jet Hot are doing the school like the one they did at VIR last year. I am not sure who the instructors will be but I am sure it will be qualified folks that will help anyone that comes out to learn.

If Jet Hot is doing the school you can bet it will be first class! I hope I can get in on stand-by!
