I can get either one which of course will be used. I just got bored with the current toy and wanting a different change of pace. Which one would ya go with? and why?

given the choice, i would take the viper. Not a honda/acura vs mopar thing, just a head to head

Had a lightly modded NSX years ago. Haven't owned any Vipers, but I've driven a bunch (GTS, ACR etc.). I'd take my NSX over any of them. Totally rock solid, never gave me a lick of trouble, and sounded amazing at 7500 with Comptech pipes. One of the few cars I really miss.

Viper without a doubt. The lines can't be beat and the V10 is awesome!

Viper no question.

Viper. In the NSX it's sad to drive a car that looks exotic, but gets out run by just about anything with an ls1.

I am not a Acura fan myself, but I always loved the NSX. That is my choice.
viper. why? because it has the one thing the nsx does not have....TORQUE!!!

I finally got to drive an NSX several years ago and it was a huge let down. It's a nice car that you could daily drive like any other Honda, but the acceleration was nothing compared to what's out there now. It was an early 90s model, so perhaps they've improved in the years you're looking at. I didn't have an opportunity to test the handling, but I'm sure it would do quite well in that department. My vote, Z06....oh, I mean Viper.

Viper definitly. But put a beefy exhaust on that thing. They sound like a 6 banger when you gun em.

I used to hate NSX's when they 1st came out, then I actually started liking them. It's a fun car to drive. Even with that said, I'd always choose the Viper. I hope to own one eventually.

Check this turbo NSX, no Viper will ever run with this thing note the Spring Mountain lap time along with big Willow.

X2, I drove my friends nsx, grat handling but heavy steering (it was an early one w/o power steering) but a total dog on power. Viper over that any day, or have you driven a z06?

Thats a real good question. And are total opposites in the type of performance they deliver. If you want a tight handling, high rpm, super sleek semi-exotic look. Or raw tire shredding gas guzzling V10 torque and brute power with the american muscle appeal.
I'll tell you what, putting myself in your shoes, I find it equally as hard. i would have to drive each the same day or one day after the other. It would come to wish is more appealing at that point.

My NSX's...I had a few were all able to out handle and be faster than a viper...they were also comfy to drive...even across country like it was nothing....I love vipers...when they belong to someone else. :)
the 91 NSX 5 speed did like a 14 second 1/4 in stock form....a little work and you’re in high 13's mine was a high 10 second car with 20+ miles per gallon and I drove it like that for almost 40K miles before I sold it.

Ahh yes a turbo lambo, that explains it LOL. Props to the builders and tuner. That is a definite accomplishment.

Sweet nsx man. However me and the wife just found out we got our first baby on the way so I cant get a new car right now.
So Im just going to play with the s10 and see how far that old stock block will safely go with some boost.

NSX, guy at my work has a first year car. Yes it's slow but some mods are just a card swipe away. I've heard Vipers are clunky and uncomfortable to drive.

I am a b it late on this one but what are you going to use the car for? what is your budget? If you can swing 85k go for a viper acr - especially if you are going to track it on road courses.
If you dont have that budget go for a z06 vette as others have suggested. if you can swing 55k you can get a newer one still under warranty and whip it at the track. they will replace your engine if it blows on the track. no crap! I know 2 people that have done this.

Both suck. Get a Ford GT40. for 80k You can get yourself a car that looks better than all of them, drives better than all of them, going to be more fun than all of them and every nut and bolt will be brand new in the car. At 750kg (around 1800lbs curb weight) and a 500+HP motor, you will be hitting 0-60mph in under 3 seconds and have an awesome car.

if you are looking for a viper, i have been entertaining selling mine. 97 blue/white gts with the hennessey 650r engine/drivetrain package. 66k miles, custom interior and stereo, brembo gran turismo front brakes, hre wheels. lots of other little goodies. never thought i would ever sell, but saw a car a couple days ago i fell in love with, lol.

I suggest you think a little more about that! Thats the best colour combo on that car, and a GTS at that... What on earth did you find that's better for the same money? -.-
