I'm using a 04 3/4 ton hydroboost. I want to change the master cylinder. The rep from Wilwood gave me a part number 260-8556. Does any one have experience with this that could help?

Don't know about the junk yard HBs. Also, what calipers and size lines you run come into play.
1 1/8 is what most run and are happy with

I'm using a 3/4 ton unit with a wilwood tandem 1 1/8" and c5 front and rear. seems to work well.

From Hydratech:

"Hi Nick - I'd go for either the 1" or the 1 1/8" MC. The 1 1/8" will give you an ever so slightly firmer pedal as compared to the 1" version, though either will do splendidly (hard to tell the difference in back to back swap outs between the two sizes). If you need further info, please either call or e-mail, as I don't log in much on the forums (won't see your PM for who knows how long)..."

The Wilwood 1 1/8" is a good choice. They are one of the best looking masters out and are light weight.

We also have them in black to match most hydraboost units...also polished or natural finish.

The lid screws on too for a much smoother look and leak free seal!
