I'm looking to upgrade my exhaust on my 67' camaro to stainless steel with tailpipes that exit behind the rear tires. I currently have Flowmaster 40's with dumps, tired of blowing dust and drone. I'm looking at a 3" kit with x-pipe from Magnaflow at 715$ and a Pypes kit for 485$. The Pypes kit comes with "street pro" mufflers. I've also looked at the Stainless Works but, its 1100$, seems a bit high. Has anyone installed these kits? fitment? sound? Is the Pypes kit cheap junk? Are there better kits to recommend?

Thanks in advance, Landon

I had the Pypes 2 1/2" kit on my 69. The x-pipe is very nice. The pieces are quality, but the overall fit could have been better. It was not an easy install.

Thanks, Motime.

I went with the magnaflow 3" kit. It came recommended by Frank @ Prodigy

Just to add the pypes kit isn't fully stainless, I think just the outside is. That's what they said when I called them. That was a few years ago though.

installed a pypes 3" kit a few months ago. itīs stainless just parts of the end tips werenīt somehow. kit fitted nice just canīt tell about the rear exit cause i had to hack it up due to my fays watts link. i run it with magnaflow mufflers only thing i didnīt like was that i wanted to cut down noise but in the end it was louder than my flowmaster 2.5 american thunder i had.
