"PRO"- Blazer Update

I have got this tear it apart stuff down good! The Blazer is stripped of its innards and seperated from the frame. Frame and all suspension going out for sandblasting and powdercoat next week. Now if I can only figure out how to put it back together as quick I will be set. :hmm:

When my buddy parked it, he mentioned it went down the road crooked. I notice a small dent in the front bumper when I removed it but thought nothing of it. It got me thinking so I measure to check if the frame was square. NOT!!!! Out of square by 1/2'!. If you don't know how these frame are put together, it has riveted crossmembers which sucks. As soon as its is square I will stitch weld all the crossmembers and brackets held together with rivets to prevent this problem in the future.

I'm in interested in the plans you have for this thing, specifically suspension wise.

Plans are basic for the Blazer plus it will be an almost daily driver. Very small budget since most the money needs to got to the Camaro to keep progress moving foward.

It will be getting a 2"-4" lift ,electric retractable steps, 16" wheels with 33" Nitto tires (one rear wheels for the Camaro will cost what the whole set of tires and wheels will cost for the Blazer :banghead: ). I am using the already built LT-1 since I am stepping up to a LSx for the Camaro, and a 700R4 tranny.

Wife is mad since she has not pick a color for a project yet (I am on #4), so I let her pick this one. She said green, which was not my first or second choice. Luckily she didn't pick which green, so I am painting it a midnight green. It looks black in the shade from a distance, but when the sun hits it, the green comes alive. It is on the new Chevy pickups.

If you're going with the Nitto Terra Grapplers, you'll love them. They're a great daily driver tire. I've got 33" Toyo Open Country on my '96 Tahoe, and the Toyo and Nitto are virtually the same exact tire. They're sister companies, I went with the Toyo only because the place I was dealing with had better pricing on Toyo. I've got 18k on mine, and the tread wear is minimal (I was expecting them to be bald by now), not to mention they're QUIET on the highway. Good choice on tire. I can't wait to see this thing rolling!
