I have some lower control arms from circle track racing with screw in ball joints, I only got 1 nut with them (got em used). Now I am having a hard time finding another nut. I cannot get the car on the ground without it and I would rather not buy another ball joint just for the nut, I think I have 8 of em rite now and they are all tight. I have taken the nut to a couple hardware stores and cannot find anything like I need. The stud is not 5/8 or 3/4 and I doubt it is metric since as far as I know, they are the old Chrysler k727 style joints. That just leaves 11/16, which i cannot find. It seems that no one lists the nuts by themselves. Anyone know where I may be able to get one? Or do you have one sitting around? Id like to get one soon so I can finally move the car around

also i measured the stud with a digital caliper, it showed 87/128 which is just under 11/16

Steve:
My set measures at 11/16 - 18! Definitely an oddball size. I don't see that as a standard thread in any of my thread data charts. Your best bet would be a fleet type parts store or NAPA maybe. The website doesn't list it, but since it's a Chrysler part they might have one.

What about Howe?
Bryce is a hell of a builder, if he says McMaster Carr, I would look there, on a side note to Bryce, dude youre car is in the newest Popular Hot Rodding when we were at Del Mar

Bryce, I did find that nut on mcmaster before posting this. I think it would be the correct thread but it is not a castle nut and also $16. Just seems stupid to pay that much for one nut that i will not be able to use on the car in the end. If it comes down to it, I will just buy some new ones from Howe or something. Ebay has some k727 ball joints listed for around 15 that come with the nut, washer and cotter pin. Howe has some nice hi misalignment ones tho I mite have to try out. Rite now the ball joint bottoms out just around full suspension travel

Try Speedway Motors, they sell circle track suspension parts.
