I am curious if I will be able to fit 18x12 with 335's on my 68 camaro? I have a quadralink and DSE tubs on the way. I see some cars with 12" wide wheels, but DSE recommends 11". I know the 69's have plenty of room bc the body is wider. Any suggestions? I really want to run the 12"s but don't want rubbing issues.

Anything is possible if you haven't started work yet. Do you plan to change the rear end? Fitting 12's will depend on wheel back spacing, where the suspension is attached to the housing and how much you want to move the inner wheel well. It is do-able but you will have to have the parts to do some measuring. Pushing the tire outboard with a shallower offset will get you into the wheel well lip and pulling it inboard will be limited by the suspension and frame rail.
It would be good to have the tire and wheel dimensions on hand when you are doing the design work. I never start a project like this unless the tires and wheels are on hand for fitment.
I am sure there is someone on the board that can shed a better light on this.

Yes, I will be narrowing the rearend. I am planning to get a friends wheel and tire in a 335 to mockup once we start cutting. I saw that Bad Penny and the Larry Callahan camaro were running the setup I want to run as well.

I'm running a 19x12 with 335/30/19 Nitto NT05's. Ride height wasn't yet adjusted in these pictures.

335 is a tight fit. Nitto tire run narrow compared to Michelin or BFG which would be tough to get under and maintain good clearances.

18x12 335s were not a problem with my DSE mini-tubs, G-link and Moser 9" floater which is 57" wheel mount surface to wheel mount surface. What rear end are you going to run and how wide is it?

Here's the key question: what size front tires do you plan to run?

I am thinking 255's on the front, 18x9 wheel.

I went with an 11 1/2" wheel with Nitto 335's with Chassisworks 4 link and have a decent amount of room. As Mike said it will be tight, but if you nail your back space and roll your lips you should be able to fit that wheel in there...

With a 255 on the front, you should keep the back no bigger than 295. 335s will cause a significant push with such small front tires. 40mm is really the max front to rear difference you should have.

I have the same set up as Dirt but with an 11" wheel and 315. The rears will slightly hit an un-molested fender lip. These cars are all different. I would mock it up and nail your back space. On mine, I could in fact fit a 12 and 335 if the wheel was right.

I have a 17 x 4 inch rim on the front so I think it makes the rears look even bigger by comparison.
