Need some perspective. Watts link on rear end.

Sometimes I need to get a little perspective. I am in the middle of finishing the brackets for my rearend. Aside from the fact a bomb went off on the table, I would like some input from you guys as to what you would change, layout differently, etc...

Everything is where I need it, just not sure if I like it!

Looks pretty cool so far...... love the beveled punched holes! The first thing I noticed is that it appears your tying the center pivot to the chassis??? The next thing I think Im recognizing is the upper mount with the Sprint/Circle Track dampener? What brake set up is that? Are those parking calipers on the front sides of the rotors?

Thanks Rich. Yep, I set the pivot on the chassis. Don't know if it really matters, both ways seem to work well, I'm just partial to the roll center not changing as the suspension compresses or rebounds.

The upper link is a modified pull bar. I'm running a decoupled three link with torque arm. The upper link compresses under braking and can be tailored with bushings, springs, or both. It floats on acceleration when the torque arm is compressed.

The rear brakes are Wilwood 4 pistons. I put that together a few years back when the only stand alone E-brake caliper was offered by SSBC. I called and they wouldn't sell them to me because I was running Wilwood's at all four corners!! About a week later, I had an '06 Viper in the shop doing some work for a customer. When I pulled the rear wheel, it was staring me in the face. Didn't know Brembo made a stand alone E-brake caliper. The were relatively inexpensive back then, but they have gone way up. For anyone that wants them, the Dodge PN# is 5093308AA and 5093309AA. They accept a standard E-brake cable.

That setup you guys offer is pretty damn cool. I would have probably adapted it if it was available when I started putting this together. I looked at Griggs stuff and see he is using the torque arm as the decel link as well. I probably over complicated the rear suspension, because your stuff and his works well. I wanted to run a shorter torque arm to get my A/S in the 125% range, but was afraid of brake hop, so I went with the upper link to completely decouple the torque arm.

The nice thing about a watts link being mounted to the chassis is the distance from the CG to RC or the torque couple stays fairly consistant throughout suspension travel. It also behaves similar to the front.
