My Ride Tech front end parts will be here this week and I'm looking for any advice to install them. Little things that may not be in the instructions. It appears I'll need to test fit them in case I need to open up the mounting ears on the frame, no biggie but I'll need to make any adjustments before I get the subframe painted or powder coated. What should I use to protect the finish on the parts while I do this?
Got the brake fitment figure out, but unsure on the different models of Wilwoods and Baers that will work best with 15" wheels. Any advice? I'll be sticking with the 15" wheels for a while due to budget .
Thanks!

I just installed this on a second gen, the instructions are definitely need more detail. I will put together a response when I get home and can reference the instructions that came with my kit.
Questions include; Air or coilover kit? You are installing upper and lower strongarms? Spindles? I am assuming by your user name this is a 68 Camaro?
On the other hand I am very pleased with the results so far, so I think you made a good choice with Ride Tech.
Sorry I can't help on the brake options for the 15's, no experience on GM products there.

Yep, it's on a 68 Camaro. I'm installing the uppers/lowers with their spindles and coil overs.

first word of advice open everything up and check all your parts before you start i was missing a few pieces and had to return a few items to be repaired (check your shock adjusters)
you may have to drill out the upper strong arms to make the ball joints fit
you'll probably need to do an at home alignment to get it down to shop for the final alignment make sure you have your alignment specs handy
i'm in the same boat right now actually i need some brakes to finish up my install however i won't be sticking with 15" wheels waiting on my new wheels to be built right now

I didn't have any parts missing, but did have an adjuster locked up on one of the rear coilovers. I had to send back for repair. I only had to trim the outboard half of the spring pocket for clearance. I contacted Ride Tech for alignment specs, but these were for a second gen firebird.
"We typically run 4-5 degrees positive caster (.5 stagger for road crown), .5 degree negative camber & 1/8" Toe in."

I also had to remove a little material off one of the lower mount bushings to install the lower half of the to the control arm.
It was a pretty straight forward remove and replace in the front, however the rear is a little more involved.

My Tru Turn was extremely straight forward and very easy to install. They really know how to make a product.

Just got all my parts. So far, the instructions look okay to me, though I think they reference castle nuts in one area rather than the nylock nuts I received. I'll have to take a closer look when I get my sub frame stripped.
Very nicely packaged, I had a few holes in the boxes but no damage to the parts. One of the adjuster knobs was loose and I had to search to find the small screw to hold it in.
Do I want to Loc Tite the adjuster knob screw or just snug it down?
What can I use to keep the spindles from rusting? I've heard not to paint them for inspection reasons.
I'm very impressed with the parts and packaging overall. I can't wait to get them on, though it will still be a while before I can drive the car.
