Nine Ball

I looked far and wide for other vehicles besides 1969 Camaros, but I love them too much. My first car ever was a 69 Camaro, so they hold that special appeal with me.
I've been shopping for about 3 months now, and finally found the perfect car for my project needs. Its an authentic X55 code SS-350 convertible with the correct code 72 hugger orange paint. 4-speed with late model GM crate engine (centerbolt covers), and still has the numbers matching tranny and 12-bolt rearend.
The car is up in Tennessee, so I'll be dragging my empty trailer with me to drive to the Bowling Green race on Aug 6, and pick it up on the way there. I'm sure to have the slowest trailer queen at the event!

Here is the info from the ad:
This is a beautiful and true 1969 SS350, X55, Hugger Orange, 4 Speed, Camero Convertible. This car was frame-off restored approx. in 1994. It has been kept in really great condition. The color Hugger Orange is correct for this car, the rear end is a 12 bolt, 4:10 ratio with correct codes, the 4 speed is a Muncie matching number, the engine is a new Chevy 350 crate engine with Edlebrock carb and GM aluminum intake. Power top works great with 2 new cylinders. The SS wheels are good with good rubber. Paint is near perfect or a 8.5 out of 10. Stripping is good. Convertible top has a few tears and the center bow is missing, but I do have a replacement. Interior is average. Gauges have been changed. Car runs out really great and shifts smooth. Fast take off with rear end set-up. Glass good and everything works, except speedo and it is disconnected. Body is smooth and straight and NO bubbles. New exhaust with Flowmasters. After market radio with CD player. Power steering and front disc brakes. All floor and trunk pans good.
Plans for the car include tearing it to pieces completely, replacing any worn items, detailing the underside, powdercoting just about everything, smoothing the firewall, adding A/C, and custom fabbing up a twin-turbo kit for an LS6 engine (already purchased). Full suspension work and frame stiffening measures, and some nice 18" wheels with big brakes. Possibly an RS headlight kit conversion. I might even add the late model Year One SS style hood and Trans Am rear wing and have them painted to match my 99 SS:
