Hi,
Anyone have a recommendation on a good reliable 1.5 ~ 2 ton floor Jack that will last for years? A low profile one would be nice.

I would stay away from Crapsman and Harbor Freight.

I have one of the craftsman low profile aluminum jacks and love it. I havn't had experience with many others but I did have a steel one that I got from napa a long time ago (cant remember the brand.) The aluminum ones are so much nicer to move around. also it only takes one pump to get it up to the bottom of the car.

I went through 5 Crapsman jacks in a couple months. The seals kept leaking.

I broke down and got a Brunnhoelzl and never looked back.

I have one from napa. I posted this thread back when they were on sale. Normal price is pretty high, not sure what they are going for right now.

I've used these in three shops plus my personal one and they are much better than any cheap low profile ones I've used

I like the NAPA Lifting Equipment jacks as well... I bought a 2 1/4 ton jack off the Mac truck a few weeks ago and love it... I use Brunnhozel and MPD ( not pitstop jacks...you wouldnt be able to lift your car very easly with one) Jacks at work...they work great but are a touch on the pricey side and need to be rebuilt almost yearly...
