I need help with bonding my fiberglass scoop to my steel hood.

There are plenty of adhesives now that are better than stuff I,ve used years ago, only thing is you have opposing expansion/contraction rates & will always eventually get at least a ghost shadow if not a crack in paint. 3-m automix structual adhesives are stong as anything. If you attach in such a way as to leave flange exposed & not blended in , this would eliminate most of this common issue .
